At 0145 hours on Tuesday morning, Station 60 was dispatched to a home on Riverside Drive East for the reported house fire. Upon arrival, crews were faced with heavy fire conditions on the alpha-delta side of the dwelling including a carport and four well-involved vehicles in the driveway. Crews immediately went into service with a 2-1/2" attack line and a ground monitor to hold the bulk of the fire from progressing to the bravo side of the structure, which allowed for commencement of interior operations. Extensive salvage and overhaul operations carried out into sun rise as utility crews worked to secure the gas line which had remained burning in front of the home. Many thanks to all of our members as well as the many mutual aid agencies who responded to the incident!
