08/08/2017 Hunter Road IA Dwelling

At approximately 1930 hours on Monday evening, Station 60 was dispatched to a single-family dwelling on Hunter Road for the smoke condition in the home. Crews investigated and located a working fire above the Second Floor ceiling on the Alpha side of the home and made a quick knock on the fire with minimal extension.

Immediately upon completion of overhaul and transfer of the scene to the FM's office, Station 60 and the mutual aid companies associated with the initial incident were redirected to a commercial occupancy on Nassau Street for the reported odor of smoke. Crews investigated and determined the cause to be a malfunctioning elevator component, which was isolated and turned over to building management.

Many thanks to our mutual aid companies, PPD and PFARS for your assistance.
